(MCCG) is an insurance software provider to insurance companies that are owners and users of the software as defined by shareholder and licensing agreements. As of January 1, 2004 the Federal Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act ("PIPEDA") applies to the operations of all companies. PIPEDA, which sets out the rights of the consumer and duties of the company to protect personal information, puts into law the general privacy practices that we follow. The privacy and use of personal information accessed is important to us and our commitment to you is to safeguard the privacy rights as defined in PIPEDA. Our Privacy PrinciplesAccountabilityA Privacy Officer has been designated as the person who is responsible for ensuring we use personal information appropriately. Identifying PurposesIt is important to note that we do not collect personal information. Our function as a software provider is to access information in your database for the sole purpose of maintaining and enhancing your software program. ConsentPermission to access your data is implied as a result of an issue logged whether verbal or in writing. In all other cases consent will be obtained before information is accessed. Limiting CollectionWe will only access personal information in your database that is required for the purposes we have identified. Limiting Use, Disclosure and RetentionWe will not use or disclose personal information that is accessed as a requirement to carry out programming duties and any printed information will be handled as follows. Reports may be generated in the course of programming for the purpose of verifying data. Any personal data accessed during this function will be retained only as long as necessary for the fulfillment of the original purpose. Accuracy of InformationPersonal information is only accessed by us and is assumed authenticated by the collector of such information.
